Capsula

CAPSULA has just released in Spain their new CD where they re-recorded the entire David Bowie classic album, "Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars". Here is a link to a music teaser video sampler -http://youtu.be/mkaq5PbOimk -'In The Land Of Silver Souls', their prior CD, released thru Krian Music Group USA was mixed and produced by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Nada Surf, Sonic Youth), and voted the #1 Rock Album in Spain 2011 (Ruta 66 Magazine) and ‘one of the years best’ from KEXP,Seattle,Wa. “Capsula had a big year. They drummed up major buzz at SXSW, garnering a four-star review for their sophomore album, ‘In the Land of Silver Souls’. Simultaneously new and old-school, Capsula feels like Bowie and the Pixies had an uber-stylish baby.” – MTV Iggy April 2012

‘Capsula sounded alternately like straight-up scuzzy garage punk and like Death Valley 69-era Sonic Youth if Kim Gordon sang all their stuff. Pretty good! And I definitely wouldn’t have heard them if they weren’t playing so loud’

Rolling Stone. David Fricke's Picks for SXSW
Capsula a kinetic trio from Bilbao, Spain — singer-guitarist Martin Guevara and bassist Coni Duchess, the band's founding couple, are originally from Argentina — who were supposed to be obsessed with the Velvet Underground (according to a newspaper preview) but were actually a high-velocity union of the Cramps and the Who, coated in corroded glam. Guevara attacked his guitar with a serious case of Pete Townshend, and drummer Alberto Diez was an improbable mix of Keith Moon and the Velvets' Maureen Tucker: flash with heartbeat. In the last song of the set, a furious space-out that sounded like the Who doing Pink Floyd's "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun," Guevara swallowed his mike Lux Interior-style and scraped his guitar strings along the edge of the stage. KEXP, Seattle Wa. Loves them.....
'(In The Land Of Silver Souls) even better than their explosive last record, combining loud, crunchy guitars and a pummeling rhythm section on a variety of fiery songs incorporating Sonic Youth noise-rock, high-energy garage and blistering psych-rock' “The tracks deliver the thrills of sweaty, lighting-in-a-bottle power pop.” CMJ

They’re loud, naughty, boisterous, and committed!” – Amazon.com “Without a doubt, 'In the Land of Silver Souls' marks a turning point for Capsula. There’s not a weak song on the album — it grows on you in the best possible way.” –LiquidHip.comhttp://capsulaband.com
