The Gates of Slumber have been in the Doom Metal underground since 1998. The band released it's debut record The Awakening in 2004 and have been consistent with albums, 7"s, and various splits since. Their most recent record The Wretch on Rise Above records has been widely praised as an undiluted dose of Doom, and at present the band is working on songs for a forthcoming full length, their third for Rise Above and their 7th since 2004.http://slumberingsouls.com
