Bootsy Collins and Chuck D embody the power of African-American music to move audiences and change culture. Bootsy and his teenage band The Pacemakers were hired by James Brown in 1970 where they both enlivened Brown's sound and earned their touring stripes. He was a core member of George Clinton's P-Funk ensemble. His distinctive "Space Bass" style is a bedrock of funk sound. Chuck D leads rap legends Public Enemy, who brought social consciousness and sonic intensity to rap music. Among their classic records is the standout "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back." PE continues to draw huge crowds worldwide and released two albums last year, including "The Evil Empire Of Everything." Chuck also runs the global hip hop community Rapstation.com. This joint appearance will bring two masters together for stories and inspiration.
